Make the most out of tight spaces with the Newberry Storage Bench, Coat Rack & Baskets Set. This contemporary bench and coat rack set is perfect for adding style and storage to any entryway. The coat rack features three cubby storage compartments and six metal hooks to accommodate coats, jackets, scarves, hats, and bags. The bench offers comfortable seating and three more storage compartments. The five included rattan baskets are ideal for storing blankets, newspapers, and other items you want to conceal but keep within reach.


Both pieces are constructed with birch wood veneers and highly durable MDF, a non-warping hardwood composite that retains its structural integrity through years of use. The solid black finish is applied over birch veneers, which results in an attractive, authentic appearance with consistent coloration. Clean lines give the set a crisp, contemporary elegance, and mounting hardware is included for secure, dependable wall mounting.

Very nice bench for the price and what we wanted the bench for. We needed to replace an aging bench that we had in our front entry way. We found this one at benches.com for the best price we could find on the internet with free shipping!How can you go wrong people? The bench was fairly easy to put together (I've put together quite a few prefab pieces of furniture like this), with about 10 screws to tighten, and it includes the allen wrench tool you need to put it together. There was one inside piece of wood (wedge) that helps sturdy the corners that was a little loose, but I put a little glue on it and that fixed it. Plus, we really didn't get this bench for sitting on, more for looks. Other than that one loose part, it is sturdy and can be used for sitting. This bench is really nice for the money and it works for us!

This is a well-priced bench but you should be aware of some issues when buying. First, it is not a very sturdy piece of furniture, so I would not recommend it for heavy adults to sit on. Some of the screws for the back panel didn't go in straight and split the wood; not great quality there. The worst problem though has been the AWFUL chemical odor coming from the piece since we unpacked it. It absolutely reeks of varnish or something (even 4 days since unpacking, with some time sitting outside), and we don't want our 11 month old in the same room with it. Other than that it is a servicable and attractive storage bench for this price point, but you may be able to do better.

    This is an attractive entry way piece, the whicker baskets are really nice. Assembly is moderate per difficulty, requires a bit of time but not outrageous. I'd say the materials are about mid-range, laminated chip board (isn't everything that nowdays), but it still looks good.

        I love this bench; I use it as a bench for a breakfast table, but I find myself using it for everything from dinner to office work. I was a little worried that it wouldn't be very sturdy, but when I set it up, I was pleasantly surprised about how solid and attractive it is! And there's storage too! Definitely recommend!
