Additional seating and handy storage are yours with the versatile Newberry Storage Bench, Coat Rack & Baskets Set - Medium Oak. This contemporary bench and coat rack set is perfect for adding style and storage to any entryway. The coat rack features three cubby storage compartments and six metal hooks to accommodate coats, jackets, scarves, hats, and bags. The bench offers comfortable seating and three more storage compartments. The five included rattan baskets are ideal for storing blankets, newspapers, and other items you want to conceal but keep within reach.


Both pieces are constructed with birch wood veneers and highly durable MDF, a non-warping hardwood composite that retains its structural integrity through years of use. The warm oak finish is applied over birch veneers, which results in an attractive, authentic appearance with consistent coloration. Clean lines give the set a crisp, contemporary elegance, and mounting hardware is included for secure, dependable wall mounting.

Rattan is presently the largest source used in the creation of wicker furniture. A climbing vine, it is native to the tropical rain forests of Southeast Asia. I purchased this product after being referred to your website by a neighbor. I was looking for a bench with storage for my 3 kids to put their stuff in when coming in the door. (instead of dropping it on the floor) It is perfect for what I wanted. Although the back screw holes were not lined up properly so I had to leave out a few screws and there was a large ding in the front but I patched it. You get what you pay for so for what I paid for it I am completely satisfied. A neighbor actually loves it and plans on ordering one. I do wish the cushions came in some better colors. Some of the other benches offer better color options.

Using it in entryway for people to sit on to take off shoes and for storage of our items like extra shoes, boots, hats, etc. Baskets are very sturdy and well made. However, I am concerned about them marking/scratching the cabinet when pulling them in and out. I recommend getting felt or some other material to put on the bottom of the baskets plus it helps them slide in and out easier. Easy to assemble once you figure out the pictures. Word directions along with pictures would have been better.

        Easy to assemble IF pieces aligned and fit well. The back panel, which provides ALL of the lateral stability does not fit into the groove provided. Had to trim the panel down by 1/4 inch.

        WHERE IS THE CUSHION?

        If the pieces aligned and the back panel was made of wood, it would be excellent.

          I needed a nice looking storage bench for my office at work. It was very easy to put together and much sturdier than I had anticipated. The baskets were really nice. I have had a lot of compliments from co-workers. Several have asked where I got it. I am seriously considering one for home also.
