This bench is made of Rubberwood, a tropical hardwood descendant from the maple family. It is a dense grain wood that is commonly used in furniture manufacturing due to its versatility and durability. Eco-friendly, its wood is only used after the tree has stopped its latex-producing cycle and the tree has died, thus there is no need to harvest live trees. Spring hinges allow the seats to stay upright when open.
