There's an old saying in the world of home decor: "It's not the size of the ottoman that counts, it's what's inside." Well, in the case of the Cape Town Large Leather Storage Ottoman, we think it's both (and besides, we just made up that old saying, anyway). It's big enough on top to accommodate at least a couple of pairs of feet, and as for what's inside, well, that's up to you.     Great ottoman if the shocks don't break

    I was very happy with this ottoman until one of the shocks that opens and closes the lid broke. Like another reviewer mentioned, the piston has a tendency to unseat itself from the hole ...Read complete review

    I was very happy with this ottoman until one of the shocks that opens and closes the lid broke. Like another reviewer mentioned, the piston has a tendency to unseat itself from the hole in the bracket, and it pretty much renders the lid unusable. I am trying to find out if there is a repair that can be done to salvage the thing. The sad thing is that I have had the ottoman for less than a year, and most things you buy today have a 1 year warranty, but this product only carries a 6 month warranty. I guess the manufacturers knew in advance when this item was likely to fail. Some warranties should be considered more heavily than others before purchasing!

    If not for this issue, it would have been a great piece and I would have highly recommended it.

        The ottoman's appearance in the photo on the web site is very true to the actual product. It's attractive and appears to be of good quality. I especially like the slow-open and close, and stay-open hinges on the cover.
