We bought this as a present for our first child's first birthday, needing a big but not obnoxiously large toybox. The size is perfect for our family area. Sturdy and cutely decorated (but not overly childish), it fits well without being too decorated for a common area. The only drawback for us is that the lid doesn't open completely so our little guy tends to slightly bump the top of head when he is really digging around in it.

I've bought this item several times as a gift for baby showers. My friends and I will go in on it sometimes and fill it with baby items. For an out-of-town mom, it's so easy to give a picture at the shower and have it shipped directly to her!

The chest looks a little bigger than expected which is nice, but doesn't seem to hold as much as I'd like it to. The construction is great and is easy to assemble (my husband did by himself in about 20 minutes). The only thing I do not like is that the lid won't open up completely. I'm not sure if this is a security feature or not but would have liked to lift the lid vertically.

While the toybox is cute, it was simply too much work to put it together. From now on, I will avoid any items that say "assembly required." We are too busy with three children to spend so much time putting something together for which we already paid top dollar.

I really like the safety features on this toy chest. My grandson will actually pick up his toys now and put them away. It is sturdy enough to use as a bench. It has his favorite animals on it, and it goes so well with his decor.
